Sermorelin vs CJC-1295

Two GHRH analogues on the same receptor. How long each survives in the body is the difference, and it changes both the schedule and the shape of what comes out.

Both copy growth-hormone-releasing hormone and both act on the same receptor. The difference is stability: sermorelin is cleared in minutes, CJC-1295 was engineered to resist the enzyme that does the clearing.

That produces genuinely different behaviour. A very short-acting analogue gives a brief pulse close to the natural shape. A longer-acting one holds the baseline up for longer, which is either the point or the problem depending on which argument you believe.

One naming trap to flag. CJC-1295 with DAC and CJC-1295 without it are different molecules with very different half-lives and schedules, and the unqualified name gets used for both.

Things worth knowing

  • Buy the wrong CJC-1295 and your schedule matches nothing written about it. Check whether a vendor's product carries DAC before you follow any protocol you have read.
  • A closer-to-natural pulse is a mechanistic argument, not a measured outcome. No study in healthy adults has compared the two on anything you would actually notice.
  • Both are usually paired with a ghrelin-receptor secretagogue rather than run alone.
