A coenzyme present in every cell, given by injection or infusion in the hope of raising cellular levels. Not a peptide, and poorly absorbed by the routes people use.
Storage
- Freeze-dried powder
- Refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light.
- After mixing
- Refrigerated at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze once mixed.
- Long-term, frozen
- Unopened powder is stable at −20 °C or colder.
Reconstitution — 500 mg vial, 50000 mcg dose
On a 1 mL U-100 syringe. Check every figure against your own vial before drawing.

When to stop
- Chest tightness or pain that does not settle when an infusion is slowed or stopped. Seek urgent care.
- Any allergic response: rash, hives, facial swelling or difficulty breathing. Seek urgent care.
- Injection site reactions that worsen with each dose or leave lasting hardness.
- Persistent nausea, palpitations or lightheadedness after dosing.
