A melanocortin receptor agonist approved by the FDA for low sexual desire in premenopausal women. It acts on the brain rather than on blood flow.

- Freeze-dried powder
- Refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light.
- After mixing
- Refrigerated at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze once mixed.
- Long-term, frozen
- Unopened powder is stable at −20 °C or colder.
Reconstitution — 10 mg vial, 1750 mcg dose
On a 1 mL U-100 syringe. Check every figure against your own vial before drawing.

When to stop
- Chest pain, severe headache or visual disturbance after dosing. These can accompany a marked blood pressure rise. Seek urgent care.
- Any allergic response: rash, hives, facial swelling or difficulty breathing. Seek urgent care.
- Persistent nausea or vomiting that does not settle within hours.
- New or spreading darkening of skin, gums or moles.
- An erection lasting more than four hours is a medical emergency. Seek immediate care.
