An extended version of Argireline, sold on the same needle-free-Botox premise. Longer peptide, same penetration problem, and less independent evidence.

Storage

Freeze-dried powder

A finished cosmetic has a preservative system and typically lasts 6 to 12 months after opening. A home mix has none and will grow bacteria within weeks, near your eyes.

When to stop

  • Persistent redness, itching or burning where it is applied.
  • Any rash spreading beyond the application area.
  • Swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes.
  • Any sign the product has spoiled.

Sold as a cosmetic ingredient, not a drug, in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere. Cosmetics are not assessed for efficacy before sale, and claims must stay within cosmetic language. That is why products describe the appearance of wrinkles instead of treating them.
