BPC-157 vs Thymosin Beta-4

The two halves of the repair pairing, compared instead of combined. This is also where the TB-500 naming confusion does the most damage.

Thymosin Beta-4 is the full 43-amino-acid protein. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of it, and the two names are used interchangeably in this market despite not being the same molecule. Most material sold as TB-500 is the fragment; most of the research cited in support is on the full protein.

Against that, BPC-157 is a fifteen-amino-acid sequence derived from a protein in human gastric juice — with its own body of animal work on tendon — ligament and gut repair.

Both rest on preclinical evidence. People choose between them on proposed mechanism, angiogenesis against cell migration, and that distinction comes from animal models rather than from any study that put the two side by side.

Things worth knowing

  • The naming problem is the most important thing on this page. Buy "TB-500" and cite Thymosin Beta-4 research and you are citing work on a different molecule. No vendor labels the difference reliably.
  • The dose scales sit a factor of a thousand apart. That is exactly the gap that turns a copied protocol into a serious error when nobody re-reads the unit.
