Adalank is N-acetyl Selank amidate: Selank with an acetyl group at one end and an amide at the other, capped against the enzymes that would otherwise break it down.
Selank itself is a synthetic analogue of tuftsin, developed in Russia as an anxiolytic that does not sedate, and registered there. It has a genuine clinical record, of the kind this site describes carefully rather than dismisses.
The amidated version does not share that record. It is presumed to be more potent and longer-lasting on the same reasoning as its Semax counterpart, and no human trial has tested it. Anyone choosing it over Selank is choosing a potency claim over a clinical history.
How it works
Selank is derived from tuftsin, a naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide fragment, and is understood to affect GABA and serotonin signalling as well as BDNF expression. Its anxiolytic effect is described as occurring without sedation, which is the property that distinguishes it from benzodiazepines.
The terminal modifications change duration rather than target. Capping the ends slows enzymatic breakdown; it does not alter what the molecule binds.
Whether a longer-acting anxiolytic peptide behaves like a stronger one or simply a more persistent one is not established, and the distinction matters for something affecting GABA signalling.

Not approved anywhere. Selank is registered in Russia as an anxiolytic; this modified version is not, and has never been studied in a human trial. Sold only as a research chemical.

- How is it different from Selank?
- Both ends are chemically capped so it survives longer. That is the only difference in what the molecule is. The difference in what is known about it is much larger.
- Is Selank a benzodiazepine?
- No. It affects GABA signalling but is not a benzodiazepine, and its stated advantage is reducing anxiety without the sedation and dependence that class carries. That claim is from the Russian literature.
