Adamax is sold as a Semax derivative and is the point at which this family stops being traceable. There is no published characterisation of it — no trial in any species — and no consistent account across vendors of what it actually is.

That is a different situation from the rest of this group. Semax has Russian registration. N-acetyl Semax amidate at least has a stated structure and animal work. Adamax has a name and a set of claims.

We have written this page rather than omitting it because people buy it, and a reference that only covers what it approves of is not a reference. But the honest summary is short: nobody has established what this does, and it is not clear that any two vendors are selling the same thing.

How it works

Presumed to act as Semax does, raising BDNF and affecting dopamine and serotonin systems, purely on the basis that it is described as a Semax derivative.

No independent characterisation supports that presumption, and no study in any species has tested it.
